According to U.S. Department of Defense regulations, dual citizenship alone does not automatically disqualify someone from serving in the U.S. military. However, serving in the armed forces of a foreign country can lead to complications, especially if the other country requires mandatory military service.

According to the **National Security Adjudicative Guidelines**, having dual citizenship in itself is not disqualifying. However, it is crucial that the dual citizenship is fully disclosed during the clearance application process. The adjudication will consider whether the foreign citizenship poses any conflict with U.S. national security interests.
