They defensive barriers could be eliminated by good faith peace agreements. There are 22 Arab league states, 450 million population, one Jewish state, less than 10 million. The risk is not equal.

But I agree, the alliances of "resistance" groups within the Arab and/or Muslim world is nuanced, however, they all share one Ideal, to rid the region of Western influence and especially all the Jews. If we agree on that, then we agree American and the UK have a strategic interest in the region.
