Several projects have been completed under Proposition 1, which was passed in 2014 to fund water-related initiatives in California. Here are a few notable examples: 1. **San Gabriel Basin Water Quality Authority - Whitmore Street Groundwater Remediation Facility Expansion**: This project aims to improve groundwater quality by expanding the existing remediation facility. 2. **City of San Luis Obispo - PCE Plume Characterization**: This project involves characterizing a plume of perchloroethylene (PCE) to address groundwater contamination. 3. **United Water Conservation District - Phase 1 Pumping of Coastal Brackish Groundwater Wells**: This project helps control seawater intrusion in the Oxnard Basin by pumping brackish groundwater. 4. **City of Dinuba - Dinuba Wellfield Groundwater Quality Improvement and Sustainability Project**: This project focuses on improving groundwater quality and sustainability in the Dinuba area.

The *U.S. Army Corps of Engineers* has been working on upgrading and expanding the *Tule River Spillway* at the *Richard L. Schafer Dam* (formerly Success Dam) in Tulare County, California. This project aims to increase the storage capacity of *Success Lake* from *84,095 acre-feet* to approximately *112,000 acre-feet**. The expansion includes constructing a **10-foot-high concrete Ogee Weir* across the dam’s emergency spillway, which will help manage flood risk and increase water conservation capacity for the region. The alt media is lying to you about water in California. Be curious, research, push back COMMUNITY NOTES !!!

@daisybelleb7218 I did not vote for Newsom, switch parties when Dems went after Trump with lie after lie. Let's not do the same. Governor *Gavin Newsom* recently signed two pieces of legislation aimed at improving storm preparedness and preventing flooding by cutting bureaucratic red tape. The bills, authored by Assembly Member **David Alvarez (D-Chula Vista)**, are designed to speed up permitting for storm infrastructure projects and streamline routine maintenance of stormwater channels and facilities. *AB 2501* allows the State Water Resources Control Board and Regional Water Quality Control Boards to accept funds from state and local agencies to expedite permitting processes. *AB 3227* focuses on reducing delays often caused by the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) for routine maintenance of stormwater infrastructure.
