  2. Absolutely agree. It prevents the rise of extreme nationalism as they won't be seen as foreign. Nor will they be pushed , nor chose to be be isolated because they can all community in the native lands Language, thus be less politically inclined to their homelands. And it also prevents external dictators from claiming or enforcing anything upon the country due to the group being in the country.

They also enforce Russian on non russian native land and onto natives of those lands. How the fuck is making the native language mandatory within its own native land the same?

  5. ​@paper plane when an immigrant moves in and their child is born. The child is not an immigrant but stillay not learn the language of the place they came. That's a basic pattern for colonialism if there is refusal to learn the native language...

Baltic's, which did not want to be part of Russia and were actively removed... Do mind the foreigners not learning a language. There is an obvious difference between the two contexts...

  7. Policies like there are what prevents extreme right wing (Nazi like) rhetoric from happening within the country. The native culture gets preserved and made mandatory within its own native border. As a foreigner I get eyes and people questioning, or see people question foreigners coming in somewhere, when there is a rise in a group that simply ignores the native culture and language. However, I know the native language, the natives are fine by default.. in fact, it makes it easier to talk about my own native thing with them, when to learn them my Language (few words and all) or try parts of my culture. A firm assimilation strategy is always good within the natives own land. The issue here is that the liberal and freedom policies and mindset is largely developed out of far west and the US. Where, natives were made to assimilate to the foreigners, and the word assimilation is used even negatively. Eg forcing native Indians to assimilate to US. But that's against the natives so by the rule of freedom and liberalism, the assimilation (even as a word) is seen as negative. Not to mention that it prevents Colonialism too, from outside, as no outside government will throw ethic or linguistic reasons to invade or occupy the country... ... An argument which often makes the observer larger countries, agree with the coloniser... Just as with Germans and sudetenland. It too also protects democracy, as large foreign groups tend to simply and naturally consume their own native media, which within a democratic nation makes them sway the native politics towards that of their own home nation. That is, if they do not assimilate, as assimilated individuals still consume their own native media, but also consume the native one. Thus also keeping a balance, but also not falling for the imperialist or dictatorial rhetoric of their native government. Thus keeping a clearer mind and picture, and protecting the political structure from wanna be dictators. Meanwhile, it prevents dictators from getting elected by the natives, as they tend to like foreigners whom show such respect as to learn the language. Preventing the rise of right wing populism within the natives... And this once again, safeguards democracy.

  8. Additionally, within the context of Europe. This is not a racial issue. All are white and seen as such. It's cultural. You can see the dictators try to push it as if it was a Racial Issue. Themes of Russiphobia and some hunt against them as if they were a different race. Which is a stunt pulled for the far west which can not, and shouldn't, accept racist rhetoric. But many get tricked that it's a Racial Issue, when there Litteraly is no Racial difference.

  9. ​​​@paper plane the countries that are "yapping" about colonisation and are European are the countries that never Had an Empire, and never enforced colonialism... In fact, they were colonial subjects and gained independence during the age of decolonisation. The measures takes are anti Imperialist for a reason ... And they prevent another dictator from making ownership demands onto these Finally-Free nations and ethic groups... Litteraly the rule you can follow is that if the nation was small and suffered from imperial rule, had their culture and ethnicity persecuted, they had a large NAZI sentiment around WW2.... Because just how a drowning person, they grabbed onto any straw, and I. Panic and pain would even pull the rescuer under the water... By making people assimilate, you prevent NAZIism and Imperialism in the long term. It stops natives from becoming Nazi like, it stops foreign nations from being imperialistic....

  10. ​ @pavelbavtra  the Russians in Baltic's are more comparable to Germans whom settled throughout eastern Europe and the sudetenland, some willingly through time, many due to various Germanization such as Teudonic crusades or during Austrian Empire. Then a dictator come is who has a rhetoric, a racial or ethic opinion and demands eastern Europe to give up land because there are Germans there, only to ignore the natives to the land and their hospitality to not discriminate (given the time periods- Litteraly why there were so many Jews in Eastern Europe compared to western Europe... Because East was tolerant to them). So he launches a war to remove the Jews and the natives and to gradually replace with Germans. Where sadly , too many of the settled Germans agreed with the dictator. Hence when the war was lost, Germans got exiled out of Eastern Europe.... Because it makes dictators opress the natives. So yeah... The Russians are basically like Germans.

  11. The settled Germans also had many that did not take on the rhetoric. These took on the native language and assimilated.... Even if they were few generations down the line born in the country. These policies are Litteraly preventing any dictator from attacking eastern Europe.
