@captainfury497 actually. No. The IndoEuropean migration did not have conquest within it. There was not even any state and was not particularly cruel (relatively compared to any other parts of history). That because of the very sparsity of the development and Population - and due to the lack of developmental differences between Indo Europeans and the archaic Europeans. It was largely a mixing of people's where you had Indo Europeans with more advanced farming techniques and ability to move but not more advanced in wars. So essentially they spread due to advancement in movement and they stayed because they were able to work the lands more efficiently meanwhile the pre Indo Europeans were still partially hunters who had to stay on the move. So naturally the settled population was more successful at rulljng the land and this spreading the Language - intermarriage was extremely common. It's one of the rare instances where no colonialism actually occoured as : 1. No Original State entity and Now unified entity of origin (unlike mesopotamia or Egypt that had states). No military advancement compared to the other population.
