  1. It's actually completely celebrated in Croatia, Slovakia, Czechia and Poland. Not sure why he mentioned that it's almost only in Scandinavia and Italy. The worship likely differs and the west Slavs (snow about you croats) celebrate her as a replacement for an old pagan witch ghost that sweeps evil and bad spirits out of people's homes.

  2. Same question can be asked everywhere: Eg. Why do west Slabs celebrate an Italian Saint - and believe she was a pagan witch-ghost that goes around people's homes with a feather, to sweep out evil spirits (yes... This is still catholic, but rooted in old Slavic paganism).
