  1. ​ @Mr_CAM0 English is not America's national language so your point gets a bit nulled by your own historic system. In Europe it's the reverse, countries have national and even sub national official languages.

  3. Unspoken European Rule post WW2 is that Majority desires to have "Separated Diversity". That is, people want to have diversity, and europeqn diversity whee they can talk and communicate qith other nationals, live with them... But the whole of Europe wants to mainly keep themselves separated (hence federalistion tends to get less favourable views). Within their own nations. Friendly, but separated. So the key to do well as a migrant is to emerse your self adopt the language and culture - especially dialects if you can. Then you can more freely show of your own culture as an individual. (This works well on individual level as when a large group of migrants whom are not well assimilated does so... Issues arise)
