Prisons should be correction centers where people whom are seen as dangerous to the society get ti learn and adapt to society. What is the point of standard prisons where they remove people from society only to put them into a close space with people who often have angry behaviour.... That's not how they learn how to cooperate with the outside world... They are only further pushed from it.

True, after the classical era it all went poop with hygiene in Europe 😅 literally... On the streets and it improved nit that long ago, similarly to the us times.

@dexterwestin3747 Us has a less of a multiparty system than UK, and UK already has more or less two party system. Most people never even heard about those parties. At the same, @Duffy63, the us parties don't form coalitions because they do not need to.... because us basically doesn't have any other party to challenge them so they keep meddling between each other, probably why it seems to be around 50s/50s for them. When it comes to most of Europe, the multiparty system is a true multiparty system where there isn't one or two major parties but 4/5, and they end up at the same levels, so they form alliances and are forced to cooperate.

Spin a ball on a string in your hand and just sense the forces you feel in your hand. Then try to make a Smith circular spin straight after starting and try make a Smith sensible exit mimicking the shapes of these loops. You will see the circular spin exerts more pressure on you and is much more tricky to complete in a perfect circle as it naturally wants to break up the shape. It also shows that a less circular path exerts less pressure on the Shape as a whole meaning that structural integrity is safer not only due to material but the trajectory it's self

@aristomenists3335 rather the opposite. If you put people into chaotic and dangerous place they become more anxious and violent as means of protection.... Such prison literally teaches people how to be violent. In this prisons they are still denied the true sense of freedom and are still separated from people who they could harm yet they are there to learn and better them selves as people and it is known that people have easier time finding inner peace while they are not worried if they will have to fight all the time. But I can see your concern. So far in our history we didn't know many prisons only those that were based on the same structural system. Now that there will be few similar, new prisons we can compare the effects on the prisoners, prisoner-guard relationship (it is quite known that guards become gradually mire violent in standard prisons) and ex-prisoners integration into the society after serving their service. It takes time but without a trying we will never know if there is a better way.

Then do the same for Hungary. Oligarchic and authoritarian anyway, plus you can't have them stop you from Punishing Poland when they are being punished.
12
That's called the Sick building Syndrome and is exactly what at least good architecture aims NOT to achieve

I just find it mad you can get any credit for that.

Not using car wherever possible is a good thing regardless of whether or not it produces less CO2. Peole get to walk, thats a form of exercise like it or not, less material used and you, at least in an even more pedestrian friendly places, you relax because it's nice to walk with greenery aground, see people ext. But you also have the other CO2 emissions you know... The one from transporting and manufacturing those cars and at the same time the parking spots. Producing concrete is extremely CO2 intensive besides being toxic. Those unnecessary Parking Spots are also a large concrete or asphalt pieces of ground with no cover.... That causes overheating in urban areas. These materials not not only absorb so much energy during the day, but release a lot during night... Acting as a street radiator.

If switching to metric is that difficult, try having 2 foreign languages to learn together with your native.
7
It would be nice if people did good because it is good rather than because they fear the punishment when they don't
7
@michaelevans831 yea.. gangs ae essentially groups of people where similar ideas get together to get a sense of security from the outside. By making prisons more welcoming it doesn't allow gang ideology to survive
5
@CR1992.. when it comes to film you can do as much as you can manage. Cut, play with time, chemicals and amount of light. They did the same in Victorian Era where women were made slimmer on photos. Some things are far older than people realise...

Do we live in a simulation or reality? Well I feel like a good question to ask is whether the invention of simulations isn't an invention of new reality as it appears to mimic reality. Thus instead of us being in a simulation, every simulation is a reality.
5
Why wouldn't she call them by their common name?
4
No? How is that a backwards evolution?

Automatisation is how we went from a day of working in 1800s to 8 hours in later 1900s to sometimes even less today (based on locations ext). I mean.. Let's be honest. It is humanities dream to keep comfortable life, work about 4h a day unless you want to do more your self whilst not losing money (from less work).

@bume2212 well, i am somewhat of a religious practitioner but not a part of any religion, less so of the Abrahamic ones. I personally do not thik being religious is a bag thing. Religion, like many other things in life can be user by an individual for any things. Power, control, or something like mindfulness or habit that helps you through life a little. On a more extreme scale as an example, I don't really see an issue with someone believing or hoping that someone is in a better place and carrying on with your life. But it would be if people obsessed over it and made strick and forced rules on how to get there.

I see the Transition of Hong Kong to Peoples Republic of China as unlawful. Not because the HongKongers hate it, that is a reason on its own, but because the original deal was between Britain and Quin china. The British government since survived... Quin China didn't. Therefore a side of the party seized to exist which would leave it in British hands. Either that or the Republic of China (Taiwan) is the one that should be the successor of the deal as they by all technicalities are the first Chinese movements after Quin, and since Quin. The peoples republic of China is thus made secondary and the only thing in its favour is location... which for the most part isn't as big of an issue as in the past. ... I also find it that the people of Hong King, as much as they wish to be independent, would rather remain British or even be covered by/coalition with the Republic of China over anything with Peoples Republic of China...

Bad thinks of the world: Climate Change Cyber Attacks Nuclear Weapons Donald Trump XD One must reaaalyyy do things to get on that list.
3
I suppose, although many go bald front to back rather than from the top.

😂 ironic. They were one of the biggest ones. Weirdly enough they started to expand west despite the crown orders not to go past Appalachia.
3
Still wonder how US would be doing if Bernie were elected instead of Trump. Mainly because pandemic issues are largely social and healthcare problem out of which all others are affected (economy) and since he was more social is his ways, how would he tackle this challenge.
3
@hanchenhoste5725 it's because it's turned from a protest into a party and celebration of gained rights in those countries that have them (have the rights). Of course, traditionally, problem as and sever issues after mentioned and remembered but it is more of a party, Especially in US. However, these parades have a much more serious and less celebrational look in lesser open countries. In my personal opinion, in those countries that gained these rights they became a little bit too wild and open street parties and in my opinion would suite a little bit more seriousness and sentiment with Rememberance of those who thought for them.

😅 Because somewhere deep down they know a mass extinction is on its way and smaller animals always do better in those. (Joking, but it's true they do better)

The more i was diving my self into eastern philosophy the more i lost sense of time the way it is normally seen. As a linear and sequential flow. It just sort of simultaneously expands and connects in all directions at the same positions indefinitely now.

Rule of life: look out for consistency and patterns, then you know what to expect.

Europe :Rainbow

The 'gerrymandering' in us is one of the main parts of US democracy that i find utterly undemocratic and somewhat dictatorial or oligarchical as it is the politicians and theirs own 'kind' (party) they want to promote for power, then the policy rather than poeple choosing purely them selfs based on policies. Not that proportional representation would work for us, it's bit large for that but still, them choosing areas to get as much votes as their can is plain cheating that can go against the actual majorities nerds and wishes.
2
I would terribly miss plazas and stars, with tress and monuments. It wouldn't make it any less populous
2
@IvanyaKosmos it's easier to help people and integrate them into a society that to send them back. It supports the economy and if directed the inmates can get specialised training to fullfil job roles the country needs to improve. This way they will become a part of society, have jobs and no need or push to live in crime... Besides... Send them back many will attempt to come back and it also doesn't help with international relations
2
Het Vox. You could make an update video on this topic? I am not going to lie but with Ethiopias prime minister winning the peace prize and then going to war... I wonder what is up now with this prime minister.
2
I don't think they are that bad. With a proper construction (insilau, ext..) they can be ideal for small bungalows where you need 2/3 12m containers placed in a rectangle/square. Directed and internally adjusted for the site with appropriate systems. It does need fancy placing in interesting way... It's a heat escape trap and usually doesn't benefits the house that much on this scale. Plus when you use external insulation you can make it appear like standard masonry akin to Central European house styles.

Holodomor. Basically meaning Starving-Plague.
2
😂😂 Americans have trump, UK had Bojo and France might get her. Blond populists

😅 it's isn't the west nor the East now. Central Europe is crumbling.
2
Wince Europes views haven't been shifted that way.. For the most parts... US looks like a joke. But how can it not.. Honestly. People arguing over their human rights because they were told to wear a mask... Presidential candidate's argue during a debate like kids in school... Soo manu conflicting messages between Medical Staff and Politicians within one meeting... I mea we do have problems.. Immigration and the never ending Great European Squabbles... But come on... It doesn't need an expert to know a mask will at least it from spearing... Like what you hit Someone face and you had slows down.
2
In Europe, the people gave up some of their "freedom" such as the things in regards of healthcare (choosing prices, companies ext) in exchange for gaining freedom of mind. Perhaps it sounds weird but that's how it is. Once you are at the top you can transfer power to different groups just do you get more time and energy on what you want to do. It is just teamwork on a larger scale.

That doctor begins for oxygen broke me.
2
@loyaaheibam6277 lol, if you have time for becoming a citizen then you have time to better your self and improve your condition
2
The man that made US election a global joke...
2
XDD Look at sports.. whether it is football, hockey or rugby they all get groups that turn violent in support of teams, especially during a match. Then take the US, a politics-turned-sport system of broadcasting news, turning people into Political Fans..... then you get election... or the political Match ... guess what will happen next.

@lucioarenas3182 French Guiana is part of France just like alaska or Hawaii are of US. Thus it is indeed a part of EU.

@mattg2383 Medical research vs availability and quality of medical treatment. Better research perhaps... Treatment not really

@owl2944 not socialists 🤦♂️ Its labour Party and Liberal Democrats. Massive difference from socialism

Why not put the cables underground? Like in Europe for example where new grid is put into ground instead if metal towers.
1
I mean, a lot of 'their' culture that they clearly get taught isn't even theirs by heritage as the dictatorial part was founded after their parents were moved. So really only the propper ancestral is, the other is just politics.
1
Yea Vhinese manufacturing improved their economic situation... but the people there no longer ant to do it their whole life, for small pay, for long hours. You can see that natural trend of people moving towards services.
1
Dno what the regulations US have but at least here it would be unlawful to have a bedroom in a basement as there is a rule regarding windows for human health.

My taxes are my health insurance. I just don't have to worry about renewing it whilst knowing it's the best market price.
