Nothing surprising. Wealth lowers birth rates. That is a given seen when comparing developed a d undeveloped countries. US has a historic wealth inequality split between races. The whites have more wealth and the Latinos and Blacks have less wealth. That's a trend over generations. Take the two and you get a nation with lower birth rates in people with white akin colour and more birth rates among people of colour. Hence, the cencus. The demographic change isn't that much of an issue, but the fact it is so obviously different among these groups just shows the issue that there is... A wealth inequality fulled but also fulling racial inequality.
