It's only source of water really is the ocean and one day it will dry out because the Straight of Gibraltar will close. Europe, Asia and African division has several such seas. the Med (with Straight of Gibraltar, the Black sea with Straight of Bosporus, the Azov sea (in black sea) with it's own straight... And in the past it also has a straight leading to Caspian seas... It no longer has a straight and is losing water fast.
