  1. Makes sense. Kids are a financial, physical and mental pressure. Sure there is a reward to it but not many seek it. Dog is cheaper than a kid, gives you cuddles and love while keeping you company and being just around. Kids are simply too expensive and too stressful for most. Even then you get someone who does want kids but their arguments as to why get stumped on 😅 like me. Thought i am just 21.

  2. Being a young adult I see few reasons repeat and overlay over and over when this topic is mentioned (or a related one). People don't want kids for financial reasons mainly, many also want their own place before a kid which sets them back further. Then there are people who do say that that simply don't want them for environmental or existential reasons. The last point is about relationships. It takes longer into a committed relationship to have a kid. Overlay these and you gain the European Adult average mindset where the problems of Relationships and the World are simply enough to overweight the desire/need for kids.

  3. Important factor is that it's very unlikely as linear as you say. What sense would it make if it kept growing like that? By what measure can a human keep becoming more and more productive forever? I mean sure machines help and a Truck does the work of a 10 people but it is not feasible for it to keep going up like that.

  4. The Norwegian churches seem similar to Eastern European churches and there is similarity to Pre Viking times. Similar materiality too. It's suspected that it's due to them stemming out of pagan architecture which was a bit more fluid and there were "Wintery" reasons to build such building unlike in... Rome
