Haha she greets peole online just like my profesor 😂 anr I've adopted it to. It just makes it a bit less formal and vit more welcoming ad you really have no idea where the audience is. Imagine having students scattered across the world, stuck due to pandemic and you have to make lectures for them all. Some were in east asia, some in Europe. Plus you had no idea when when watch it. It isn't like we have to be starched up gor everything... Just adds a bit of humanism to it.

@tony24-u9x there is two big variables when it comes to Speak a foreign language. Knowledge and Confidence. At an international Conference i rather listen to 10 leaders in their own languages in whichthey know what they are exactly saying, the way they meant to. Rather than to listen to 1 that has no idea what he is saying, had a a very strong accent (can make it difficult for other to understand) or plain and Simply has to stop every few seconds to think of a words. Marker speaks German bot out of pride but because is most comfortable in expressing complex policies in german. It doesn't mean they "slow" It down, together make it accurate and... You would be surprises even faster as there are less miss understandings and so faster. God i can't tell you how much it drags on when you interpret for someone who is mediocre at a language but they still want to speak them selves in it even though it's not appropriate given the formalities.
