The historic problem of Russia... Always trying to be a Superpower through military means in exchange for abandoning its people. That was the case pretty much since it's creation... Take Peter the Great going abroad to educate and bring more culture, yet it ended in newer military for Russia. Last Tzar concentrated too much on military which resulted in revolution. Lenin's revolution.... For the people didn't work out. Later commies and the Iron curtain..... And now Putin.... Too bad they concentrate too much on the Domination part of the Heartland instead of the Stability of the Heartland.....

@SeaJay_Oceans that already happened few times... But Russia never got in or tried getting in for mischievous reasons.

@meirtt "Would the US accept unfriendly Mexico allied with China" If Mexico is Ukraine and Europe then how would that make any sense since the whole of Europe was more and more friends with Russia... And it attacked. Similarly, and i don't doubt it will not happen, what would Russia do when q common European Military Agency will be formed out of the old NATO? Also... As someone from a nation once under Russian rule... It's Russias problem for being a historic bully to us. Why would we joined US when we keep "trash talking" At them in many ways. Yet, despite being in NATO, we didn't even participate in US middle Eastern wars besides Afghanistan.... So why is Russia such a twat?
