  1. I worked on the original FAA routing computer. Made of TTL ICs and wire wrapped at Raytheon, Santa Anna. . It was supposed to be good for 10 years. It took 40 years to replace it. I was reading about maintenance nightmares on that machine well into the '00s.

  3.  @EpicTyphlosionTV  The original FAA route computer was wire wrapped TTL and was in service well into the 00s. Well past its 'replace by' date. I did testing of TTL at Raytheon, Santa Anna, for the original design. Then I went on to design the IO board used in the World's First BBS using what I learned at Raytheon. I'm currently a Surface Mount guy. No TTL.
