@robertlomax543 I'm sorry to tell you that the number of transistors on a chip has minimal influence on power conversion capability. Power switching speed, losses, and voltage capability are way more important to power conversion. Material changes have influence as well. SiC is up and coming.

@vince6473 American Nuclear reactor buildings are designed to withstand a fully fueled 747 crash directly on the containment building.

@xiaohu3859 Power losses over distance are the actual factor limiting transmission distance. Phase is a local condition when it comes to attaching power sources to the grid. As long as you match locally when connecting - slightly fast, slightly higher voltage, close the breakers as the phase is matched - everything is fine. All cores have losses. The bigger the core the lower the loss ratio for a given power.

@VitaeLibra In America we oppose the idea that only Government criminals should have guns.

Water vapor is the #1 Greenhouse gas. It does 3/4s of the heating according to GHG theory. If you can believe the theory. If the theory is correct water vapor alone will destroy the planet. There is on average 50 times as much water vapor in the atmosphere as CO2.

@robertlomax543 It is a balance of losses problem. Transmission vs conversion losses. Economic (the plant is affordable) Conversion losses are going down. OTOH carbon fiber for electrical transmission could change the economics too.

@KafshakTashtak Edison invented the electric chair to discredit AC current.

Metal can replace plastics in a lot of uses.

End Prohibition. It cuts the murder rate in half.

China shows us the limits of intermittent and unreliable power sources. They provide undependable electricity. Without batteries solar and wind are not dispatchable (supply adjusted to meet demand). With batteries solar and wind are not affordable.

I had four kids. They are doing well. World population is collapsing.

Decarbonize? How about dewaterize? Water vapor is a GHG as effective as CO2 according to GHG Theory. There is 50 times as much water vapor in the atmosphere as CO2.

@VitaeLibra Oil wells in the back yard are not a big problem. Copper mines in the back yard are.

@VitaeLibra Have you studied the theory? Water vapor is a GHG as effective as CO2 according to GHG Theory. There is 50 times as much water vapor in the atmosphere as CO2.

How many KWh (joules) a day do you need? Will the solar cells provide it?

I haven't even pented. How can I repent?

At ten cent income in a trillion dollar world - you can grow really fast. You get to a trillion dollar income and the growth rate has to slow down. You get customers who feel politically intimidated and no longer want to do business......
