I pray we end Nixon's War On Blacks - now that you mention it.

Treating solar like any other power producer is not destruction. It is reality,
4
@Future_Fuels "because of years of bad propaganda." Not entirely. There are inherent problems. I was a Naval Nuke in the mid 1960s.
4
@ipp_tutor Look into geodesic geometry. Bucky made it popular. I studied it because of him. Built a few domes too.
3
@NadeemAhmed-nv2br Now - think about making photons. Electricity generation. Boiling water........
3
@DanielSilva-jj2lz Don't forget generating electricity by boiling water. Carnot. Electricity to photon conversion. Or photon to electricity conversion. Then - Electricity to photon conversion.
3
Treating all energy producers the same is the only fair way.
3
Chemtool was pretty much ignored. Why is this getting airplay?
2
@frankenz66 Water vapor is the #1 GHG according to the theory. Which nobody studies.
2
To be a reliable low cost supplier you have to be able to schedule production. Renewables without batteries are undispatchable. Renewables with batteries are unaffordable.

Treating all energy producers by the same rules is the only fair way.
1
Solar is starting to be treated like any other energy producer. Coming next - a dispatachability requirement. Batteries. Electricity that can't be delivered when needed is worthless to the grid operator.
1
@johndoh5182 Better than prohibitions are cost targets.
1
That may require the invention of unheard of elements. Cosmoanium for one. With it you can double the payload without a load of pay. Avoid Unobtainium. You can't get it.
1
Battery cases of biodegradable plastics is the wave of the future.
1
@wayne5447 Batteries of 10,000 watts per kg are common. If you have a few microseconds to spare. 500 watt HOURS per kg is less common.

Moving parts. Low losses. Long life. - The promise.
1
I was lucky enough to be able to live in his Carbondale dome house for two weeks in the early 70s.

@ncstudio333 He has written books.
1
@randybobandy9828 More research required.
1
@randreas69 Water vapor is the #1 GHG according to the theory. I propose we move the oceans to Mars.
1
Hydrogen is not a fuel. You can't mine it or pump it out of the ground. It has to be made using fuel of some kind.
1
What about radiation losses?
1
CFCs were going off patent. DuPont needed a fix for that. Everyone obliged. CFCs were banned.

Water Vapor (WV) is a greenhouse gas as potent as CO2 according to theory. On average there is 50 times as much WV in the atmosphere as CO2. The fact that it is non-persistent is often mentioned. It doesn't have to be. You can AVERAGE (integrate) the effect. There is on AVERAGE 50 times as much. Non-persistent. ==> Definition - only heat trapped from CO2 molecules can evaporate water vapor molecules. The heat water vapor traps doesn't cause water evaporation.

Being treated like a regular energy producer does not decrease your independence other than your lost subsidy.
1
According to GHG theory water vapor is the #1 GHG. Burning methane is the worst thing you can do. If you believe the theory.
1
The worst part of EVs will not show up for a few years. Replacement batteries. We are currently in the honeymoon period. The worst part of "renewable" electricity will not show up for a few years. Replacement batteries. We are currently in the honeymoon period.

Chemtool was pretty much ignored. Why is this getting airplay?

Wind turbine blades? Fossil fuels. Plastic. Solar cells? More electricity in the summer than in the winter. Depending on latitude. I look forward to 3 to 6 months of efficient electrical storage with huge capacity. Batteries everywhere.
