  7.  @caylia9989  You may wish a refresher course in International Law and the Law of the Sea. There is a 12 mile limit unless an International Waterway is involved. When in which case that might be reduced if the waterway is not wide enough. Of course they can claim anything they want. It is possible to lose a country that way when they get called pirates for exceeding their authority. They should be careful.
