  1. PTSD is in part genetic. I had the bad genes. Abused child. I had some very bad things in mind. Finally gave up my anger and am mostly over it except for a weed habit.

  4.  @fawn06  Currently in medical schools (look it up) - Addiction is a symptom of PTSD. Or as I like to put it "Severe child abuse can cause drug addiction." Addicts would call it "relief". It is more depression than pain but drugs do relieve it. Dr. Lonny Shavelson found that 70% of female heroin addicts had been sexually abused in childhood.
