Politicians will then be better able to control population mobility.

As soon as the supply lanes are no longer secure. Prices for everything will then go up.

Consumers will have to adjust for the extra dead weight.

Three years out? The market will be dead for 2 years by then.

What is your plan for removing Water Vapor? A 50 times bigger problem. Water Vapor (WV) is a greenhouse gas as potent as CO2 according to theory. On average there is 50 times as much WV in the atmosphere as CO2. The fact that it is non-persistent is often mentioned. It doesn't have to be. You can AVERAGE (integrate) the effect. There is on AVERAGE 50 times as much.

Very nice. Will you get paid for the extra wear and tear?

They are loss generators so far. The subsidies prove it. They will be cheaper in 2025 because production will (effectively) stop in 2024.

With a given infrastructure doubling the charging rate causes four times the power loss. To go from one hour to 6 minutes of charging time causes 100 times the power loss. I wouldn't let politicians make any decisions in this area. They have no concept of all the trade-offs involved.

Battery prices will rise for th next 9 years………….. say ello ta muh littah freen………. wasted capital

It is electric cars that are getting massive subsidies. Just wait until your electric bill has a road tax. Electric cars will be a niche market in the world for a very long time.

There are people who don't have chargers in their normal parking spots. Some of them are Democrats. BTW Republicans are not fans of EV subsidies. Which may be why Musk is a 'Republican'.

And fast recharging (under one hour !!!) wastes power. And there is no road tax on your electric bill.
