If America was in the position of Russia it would have gotten Europe to want to join it. Russia relies on military annexation. Not near as popular.

"not encouraging Ukraine to attempt to recapture Crimea," - is not the same as forbidding it. Also note the word "recapture".

Patience. It is coming.

In 1945 there was no chance of anyone firing back. That may no longer be true.

The purity of Russian motives cannot be denied. Also the honor of Russia cannot be denied. The Russian Genocide of Ukraine in the 1930s was very honorable. The Russians starved to death millions of Ukrainians - for profit. To pay off bankers.

Except NATO isn't doing it. Ukraine is. But I do encourage the Russians to attack some NATO countries. I'd like to see what happens next. No nation that was once part of the Soviet Empire can ever again be independent. Do you think that policy will sell in Poland?

@rosaginger4329 Correct except for one part. The people of Ukraine have not volunteered to become part of Russia. That is a sticking point. The honor of Russia cannot be denied. Fortunately so will Russia.

@Ivan Exell pois mas a NATO neste momento não tem pessoas que estudem a mentalidade russa, não conhecem patavina de nada: para os russos não se concebe a existência do planeta sem a existência da Rússia......🤔

If only Biden knew where oil and gas really came from.

The Brits and French and Dutch and Russians and Chinese found that out in WW2. Almost as bad as Hitler's double cross of Stalin. And to think - those two started the war together.

So why exactly is powerful Russia afraid of tiny Ukraine?

Of course Crimea is a Red Line for Putin. If Ukraine takes it, he is a dead man.
