  2.  @basook6116  China will be absorbing most of the tariffs - if it wants to keep its markets. Just as happened when the cost was 10%. Farmers are shifting out of soybeans. With pigs dying in China the market is not there. China is not self sufficient in food. Too much hunger and the Mandate of Heaven evaporates. It has happened before in China. I'd be careful. Missing a toy for your keychain is different from going hungry. One is an annoyance. The other is life and death.

  7.  Ho Chi Wang  The rule is - if you can hold it - the former natives could not. Americans still celebrate the former owners to a certain extent. It will be interesting to see if the CCP can continue to hold China. My bet is that they can not. Spying on everyone in the country is expensive. And it creates resentment.

  14.  D M  America has been falling for over 200 years. According to the experts. In 1959 we were losing the space race. In 1969 we were on the moon. Or take WW2. We were for sure losing in the first 6 months. And then came August 1945. America has an amazing capacity to come back from adversity. I believe this time will be no different.
