  1. They always talk about their own safety. They'll shut your rights down for their own safety in a heartbeat. But when the coppers are in legitimate danger they do things like stand in the middle of the road surrounded by fleeing small vehicles and just assume they have some untouchable barrier around them. This was his own fault. No situational awareness. A seeming expectation a criminal already fleeing would just stop. No self preservation. He had natural cover in form of parked cars and instead of deploying spike strip from there he walks out onto the road with the vehicle traffic and spends a moment prancing. This is nothing more than another now regular showcase of their unfit ability for their purpose.
