Just an FYI for people in the comment section
I'm not getting the covid vaccine for very personal reasons. Let me tell you what they are and don't just laugh or insult. Listen to my actual reasoning. 4 people I'm close with under the age of 27 have had "adverse side effects". These are ranging from clots in the lungs to heart inflammation and a failing pancreas. Some of them even share these symptoms. My next door neighbor is 38. She has 5 kids. She got her dose 3 weeks ago. 2 weeks ago she got rushed to the hospital with 8 blood clots in her brain that developed into anurysms which have left her body 80% paralysed. All of her left side and most of her right side. My nan has gotten both her doses, and since she has gotten them she's up all night most nights coughing her lungs up. She's almost sleep deprived at this point, the week following her second dose she could barely breathe and any time she tried to walk she lost her breathe and got dizzy. The second week after her dose she was struggling to maintain a conversation without losing her breathe and choking. This is the tip of the Iceberg. I know there's lots of crazy people online with 3000 reasons not to do this or that, believe me I know I spend enough time avoiding them and the rest of my time is spent being compared to them, but my point is this. My older cousin (third cousin) is pushing 88. She's been one of those people all her life to have medical issues from arthritis to more serious conditions. The start of July she caught and tested positive for covid 19. She was told get to the hospital immediately her general practitioner was there and he'd be waiting for her. She refused. She went so far as to barricade herself in her home because she was terrified of what people where being hooked up to for their treatment. 2 and a half weeks passes with digital contact from her, and low and behold she was cured. She fought through it and came out the other side not only alive, but unworried.
Now, without using mental gymnastics, I'll ask this, how did (and she's one example of a few around me/in my life/) a pushing 88 year old woman with a tonne of things wrong with her catch and have covid, seek no treatment despite being told she needs it immediately, but people my own age, young fit people, ended up worse off by taking the thing suppose to save them from what she caught? Everyone has the right to make up their own mind when presented with situations as such. You don't need to develop a sense of superiority and justify verbally abusing people you disagree with. The comments here are disgusting
