  2. Germany is making the same mistake 100 years later. Placing ideologically and dogma ahead of rationality and common sense. You need to wake up and make a massive shift in policy. AfD is not opposing nuclear energy.

  3. Germany, Netherlands and other countries have drifted too far in implementation of their green marxist dystopia. I don't think there is any chance of return to common sense. I think the only solution is for the Eastern European countries to break away from the EU and creates their own Union. It would be a block reaching from Baltic to Black Sea, something like Intermarium Pilsudski proposed after WWI. The use and development of nuclear energy would be absolutely crucial to this block. It would also be based on more conservative values like family, nation, freedom of speech and enterprise and Christianity. Not everyone in Europe wants to commit cultural and economical suicide under the leadership of Germany.

  5. Europe is a continent in decline. Economicly, culturally, politically, ideologically, scientificly. The root problem is that European governing institutions have gotten completely infiltrated by marxists and lobbyists over the years. European values like Christianity, freedom of speech, enterprise, critical thinking are being replaced by egalitarianism, dogmatic thinking, conformity to authorities, nihilism and massive bureaucracy. This leads to massive decline in innovation, productivity, social cohesion and quality of life. Energy sector and industry is only partial sign of this decline. In my opinion, the Western Europe (perhaps except the UK) is lost. Eastern European countries should break away from the EU and create their own block (something like Pisudski's Intermarium). It should be based on freedom, crital thinking, family values and nation.

  6. Greece is an example of country that does not benefit from the EU membership at all. It's an Orthodox Christian country, it culturally doesn't really belong into the West. Greek people want to have eastern work ethics but western standard of living. Decades of socialism made Greek manufacturing uncompetitive, Greek labour is neither cheap nor highly skilled, country has high debt and overly generous social system. It is the worst example of a country in middle income trap. I can see there are only two ways in which Greece can go. Cut government spending and lower wages to similar level of your neighbours Romania and Turkey. Or massively invest in high tech sector.

  7. Live standards in the Czech Republic are pretty good. But our strategic vulnerability is economic dependence on Germany and the automotive sector. If either one of those pillars falls apart then we are screwed. Germany will survive without us, but we won't survive without Germany. Unless we quickly diversify our economy away from Germany and towardd the United States, Eastern Europe and Asia.

  8. This video is spot on. Czech Republic is excellent on paper, but it has severe limitations to growth and there are unsolved factors that can halt the economy. 1. The middle income trap is very real 2. Overreliance on export, economic dependence on Germany and automotive sector 3. Lack of innovation and government investment in infrastructure 4. Destructive neo-marxist policies pushed from the EU that can threaten national security and energy security. Personally, I am a fan of leaving the EU and creating a new block under the leadership of Poland (Intermarium), based on traditional Christian values and self reliance in strategic areas (food, energy, immigration, defence). Eastern Europe needs to lower dependence on Germany and France and cooperate more with the United States and Asia.

  11. French nuclear stations had their output reduced due to maintenance issues which are steming from decades of neglect. They can cool the reactors no problem, they only had some occasional reductions in summer for environmental reasons (to protect fish from raising the temperature of the river too high). Reactors can be cooled by air in cooling towers, they can operate in desert. Idea, that Ireland will supply France from tidal energy is pathetic. Ireland doesn't have enough energy for itself. Ireland's railways would do with an upgrade but it certainly won't be a Dutch style network due to low population density of Ireland.

  13. ​ @Micha-qv5uf  What about the gas leaks during drilling, transport and storage? They are pretty significant. Also the abandoned oil & gas wells are major source of methane emissions. There is enough easily accessible uranium for hundreds of years, then we also have thorium. In general there is enough (less readily accesable) uranium in the world to power the Earth until the Sun runs out.

The only thing Europe is focused in is "green" dogma, import of immigrants from uncompatible cultures, destruction of its heritage and creation of some for of marxist dystopia. 👎 Canada under Trudeau's leadership is heading the same way. I cannot tell who is further in this race to self annihilation. Perhaps Europe, because Canada has at least its own resources of materials and energy so it can stay afloat bit longer.

  17.  @marcv2648  Yes, Marxism is German invention. They exported it to Tsarist Russia in order to weaken it. It worked surprisingly well, better than anybody expected. Russia could have become a world superpower number one after WWI, but instead it collapsed after 70 years, rotting from within. Now Germany is destroying its own country by their own ideology. The cancer of Marxism spreads unfortunately throughout Western universities and the whole Western world.

  18. You are absolutely spot on! Americans monopolised the IT market, streaming services and entertainment industry for themselves. Together with pharma and finance. Here in the Czech Republic we are a small exception to the rule, the national search engine (Seznam.cz) is used more widely than Google, but that's only down to language peculiarities (characters like č, š, ž, é, ě, ... the Americans couldn't be bothered about ) and certain conservatism of Czech people. EU is completely failing in IT, perhaps with exception of Swedish Spotify. Where is European Facebook, Audible, Instagram, X?

  21. Exactly! It is the very opposite of freedom and sovereignty! It is a path to digital sl @ very. Government / Banks will have total control over your spending. They could limit the amount of transaction, limit it to specific geographic area (geofencing), to specific products, pair it with social credit or cancel it altogether. Digital euros also can be made expirable like supermarket vouchers. It is a thing we surely don't want. The reason why banks and governments are pushing CBDC is clear. Because rhey are broke, nobody can pay the huge debts they accumulated and they are looking for a new way how to extract wealth from the populus. Do not fall for that!

  26. Absolutely. European Green Deal is not about protecting environment but about exporting the pollution to other countries and about tighter control over European population. For example Denmark pretends to be extremely environmentally-friendly heading towards net zero. But they don't produce any steel, concrete, fertilizers or plastics. They import everything. That's not being sustainable, that's greenwashing.

  31. Poland will be a major power in Europe. It will team up with Ukraine and create political and economical block (within or outside the EU) in opposition to Germany and France. It is believed that economical performance of Germany and Poland will be pretty much equal in 10-years time. Poland and Germany will decline significantly.

  32.  @mile_381  Yes they are, but you can see trends and make a forecast based on them. Poland has been doing well recently and is likely to grow in the future. Germans shot themselves in a leg with their terrible energy and immigration policies. They will still be doing well, but their economy is likely to contact. Of course there could be many Game changers, like the rise of AI, policies of the EU etc
