  1. The underlying problem is MODERNISM itself. Modernism emphasizes experimentation, abstraction, and subjective experience. It rejects all traditional methods and ways of living and thinking. It sees itself as transformative progressive movement and considers tradition to be a backward element which needs to be fought against. In architecture reinforced concrete gave architects an opportunity to build outside of every convention, forget about centuries old rules and techniques. In combination with liberalism, utilitarianism and marxism modernism creates ugliness and soulless experience. Modernism has its place in art but it should never be a mainstream style. We need return to tradition, beauty and rationality.
