1. It is quite the opposite. Nuclear energy is cheap in a long term. The storage of nuclear waste is subsidised by taxpayer, but so are the incentive for renewables. The "cheap" price of renewables somehow never calculates for their intermittency, eg batteries, hydroelectric storage hydrogen storage, etc, demand for high capacity HVDC power lines. 2. Cut both, unreliable renewables and imported gas. Use strong and reliable nuclear instead. It's a no-brainer. 3. It was a slow process managed by Russian and American interests And yes, 4. Nobody understands Germany
