  1. They're Socialist, all wealth belongs to the community. So the Communist Party officials have no problem whatsoever stealing from it's own people. Soviets did it often to fight inflation, would literally yoink currency out of people's bank accounts. Socialist do not respect people's private property, or personal capital, it's literally at the very core of their ideology. Meanwhile the Party leaders grow fat/wealthy because the party has control of all the wealth they steal from the people. This is why Socialism in all of it's glorious teachers is nothing more than a Single Party Dictatorship, and massive state sponsored theft on a massive scale, all in the name of the "People." It has nothing to do with fairness or equality, only in it's writing, but never in practice. The Capitalist they always cry about just become Party Big Wigs instead.
