  1. Apocalypse Now and Glory are not exactly 'accurate' films. They're dramatizations. I would even argue that Apocalypse Now isn't even a War film, as it's more of a war satire film with heavy and dark politics. ie it's a stereotype of Vietnam's worst elements squeezed together into a film. Similar to the film Platoon, but at least Platoon didn't have insane crazy over the top things like the Helicopter attack scene on Apocalypse Now. Glory is a dramatization of the 54th Massachusetts Regiment, it isn't even in the same ballpark as say Gettysburg or Gods and Generals when it comes to American Civil War movies, and I'm not putting Glory Down, it's one of my favorite Films of all time, and I have a VHS, DVD and Blu-Ray Copy of the film which shows how much I care about it over the years, but it isn't historically accurate.
