@user-vh8uh3jp1z You have to live in a F***ed up society if your leaders are afraid to be around their citizens, and their citizens hate their leaders so much that they wish them dead. USA survived roughly 80 years until a major public figure was assassinated and only then after the tension of a civil war fueled so much hatred. It was common place for the White House to have an open door which common folks could visit. Congress had no security and even congressional members would carry weapons into the Houses anyone could walk in, sit in the balcony above and observe as well, no security. Imagine how much society has degraded morality wise since then when even children are not safe from acts of violence? I think there was a poll done last year which roughly 30% of American youths believe violence, and murder is an acceptable means of political activism.... a serious issue indeed. The reason Abe didn't need a army of body guards like say an American former President would have during an public event because Japan despite it's issue isn't as F***ed up as some other countries, namely the USA, were a large percent of the country is in denial that we have serious social issues that lead to horrific violent tendencies.
