When it became a World War, defeat was inevitable, for all the Axis powers. The resources, and man power involved were well beyond what any of them could handle with the limited resources, production and manpower available. They could win local conflicts against specific nations, but as another youtuber pointed out. Germany stood literally no chance of winning when she was facing the two largest economies in the world, on top of fighting a war on the scale as she was against the USSR in the east, which on her own Germany likely would struggle with, even if the UK/US did not get involved. Once the war escalated, there isn't really any way Germany or any of the axis powers were going to win, their respective conflicts. Politically, how most of the Allied Powers played their cards, well there wasn't any way to avoid having the conflict escalate either. Even if Germany didn't invade the USSR, I doubt the war would of ended there, and I don't see Germany winning a long drawn out war with the UK/US as well, and yes, the US was most certainly going to get involved eventually, Roosevelt made sure of that.
