  1. Oh my something was wrong with the original? Guess I can wave hi to Manstein and Degrelle again. Btw read Degrelle's accounts of this battle, and you can tell the guy had PTSD from it.

  3.  @TheImperatorKnight  It's in his Memoir which he wrote. "The Eastern Front: Memoirs of a Waffen SS Volunteer, 1941-1945" However, I wouldn't be surprised if everything important from it that is believable is already included in Hell's Gate. Actually makes me curious if it's cited in it, being it would be a 1st hand account of the battle. If so you're likely not learning anything knew by doing so outside of Degrelle's own dramatization of it. Issue with Degrelle is, he was an activist turned politician turned soldier turn die heart Nazi and remained so till his death. So he was a politician to his core. But there is something about a man saying he still wakes up from nightmares, and screams as a result of Cherkassy, and I honestly believe him when he said it. I know an interview with him, he said he still gets nightmares, and wakes up to screaming.
