To be honest, I honestly doubt that Russia would of faired better. Maybe even worse. I doubt a Capitalist Russia would of had the huge stockpile of weapons/equipment that the USSR had, nor would I think without the 'firm' control of the Communist Party over every asset of life would it of been able to muster the resources, or even mobilize the strength as quickly as the USSR was able to. I think it's more upon the question. "Would a Capitalist Russia be prepared for a war?" Stalin was up to something in my opinion, as he had a huge stockpile of equipment prior to the start of the war that I doubt a capitalist USSR would of had, obsolete much of it being, is still irregardless of that fact. Either that or he was literally that paranoid of his neighbors, Hitler's actions being some of proof of that worry.

@purrcatharsis Here I was lead to believe Grammar Nazis have gone extinct. Then again, if past generations of Grammar Nazis had not fail so horrifically then the entire issue of "would of, should of and could of" would've never became an issue. As linguistical evolution and variation from regional dialects will only lead to one outcome. That a v sound would turning into a f. That is how new languages are born.
