Seems I'm not allowed to quote Gramsci. Comment went poof... But look up his debate with Mussolini in the Italian Parliament from 1925. It can be found on their favorite website. I really wish youtube would send you a message highlighting exactly what got a comment removed.. it would make it so much easier to work with their dystopian censorship system. Basically the debate they had reads like a comedy. He basically said his group's violence was okay and bold man's violence was bad, because he perceived his group represented the majority in his own fantasy world view.

Reminds me of Religious Socialist, of Christian Socialist. Who see the similarities between the Altruist values of Christianity and Socialism. Whom believe merger of the two would create an ideal society.

@SwfanredLotr Ya the logic by Gramsci is literally bonkers when looked at it from an outside perspective. Basically violence is okay if you "perceive" the majority are on your side. What is funny is Gramsci later in life admitted that the Marxist didn't actually ever gain a majority of support from the populous. In turn blaming Hegemonies, ie a Capitalist one as his reasoning, and people were just too comfortable with the current way of things. What bugs me is he is more important to modern Marxism than Marx himself. His idea of changing society from the inside out to be favorable to Marxism as a result of his past failures with the populous are a core of the conditioning process that exist today in academia and their favorable opinions of Socialism. Basically create generations of youth who are sympathetic to Socialism, make being pro-Socialist the default position kids have when they make it out of the education system. In turn making it considerably harder to resist socialist revolution, either through the polls or by violence.
