@Sedgewise47 I recall TIK quoting that book before.

Normal behavior. The guys who think differently always considers the opposition as fools, ignorant or idiots.

Issue is, he viewed himself as the leader of the Party. It wasn't about personal power. For example when the Party built Berghof he was actually unhappy because he thought it was a waste of the Party's money. I doubt Stalin had the same opinion when he himself had vacation homes built. As crazy as it is. Hitler was more modest in his views on his position as "The Leader." That being said, I doubt he would of ever had any Monarch as a figurehead in the party. The highest ranking position any member of royalty held within Nazi Germany was Prince Charles Edward, and he only really became useful during the war against Britain, outside of that he was mostly ignored despite his support for the party, he eventually became the head of the German Red Cross. Hitler viewed the royal family, or monarchs in general as a threat. He removed all members of the Kaiser's family from the military for example, mostly out of fear of conservative revolutions/coups with one of Kaiser's sons/nephews being installed into power by the army. etc. I doubt he would of ever risked even using a Royal as a pawn. It had little to do with Hitler himself but his fear of his' ideas for Germany would be wiped clean. You gotta remember he viewed himself as the next Jesus so to speak, not in a religious sense but... it wasn't about preserving his life for his own selfish reasons but for the future of the Reich.

Ironic that Goebbels called him a J. Because in his younger years before he wised up, Wilhelm was quite antisemitic.

@kycklingsallad2414 and that makes my comment any different?

@sethcampbell6475 Kaiserschlacht was the end of the war for Germany. She was unable to secure victory in spite a massive expense of men and material in one of the largest offensives of the war. She was unable to exploit breeches made and despite the gain of ground being outstanding for the West Front at the time the British did not collapse as they expected. Even before the Americans arrived Germany was doomed to defeat. Similar to Kursk it was a great sign she did not have the capability to actually win the war, anymore.

Yet he considered himself not a Monarch. Which is why the succession was not hereditary. ie Hess Goring, Goebbels none related to him in blood. Hitler also considered his wealth, the Party's not his which is why he gave it back to the Party in his will.

@MemoryOfTheAncestors Honestly, all Monarchies were once Dictatorships at one time. The difference really comes down to intent. For example Stalin was a Dictator but not a monarch. He never had the intent to pass his power down his family. Nor did Hitler or Mao. Compare that to Kim on the otherhand.

Reminds me of the person in the comments which said Hitler wanted to created a Monarcho-Capitalist State yet he hates Monarchies.
