To be honest They/Them is annoying as heck, as it's normally used in a plural form referring to a group of people. It is however also used when referring to an unknown. Say you were drugged/raped, and have no idea who the person was, then the terms they/them fit perfectly. Gender Neutral Pronouns however turn this upside down, as it backhands general english speech. 99.99% of the English speaking community may be confused if not flustered when the term is used out of it's normal context, and I personally had that experience when watching a minecraft youtube stream and a person was referring to a person as they and them, I kept thinking he was referring to multiple people but I only saw one person. Honestly, gender neutral pronouns need to really just be dropped, it's an idiotic movement to force them on society and throw out centuries of language evolution for the sake of political correctness.
