  1. I often tell people. Imagine a 40mm Grenade Launcher round exploding. Now picture a 30mm High Explosive Shell with a thin warhead casing to maximum HE yield. Now you understand how scary a German 30mm MK108 cannon was. It has very low velocity for a cannon of it's day, but that was because it was glorified smooth bore grenade launcher in the air. hehe
