@Kneejair Actually it's supposedly going very well. The Ukrainian Government and Military are Silent but based on Communications on the Russian side, among soldiers/officers they're in an absolute panic. I'm not talking about Russian Social media, or the State News Networks. But stuff posted by Russian soldiers, and Russian press on the ground in the area. Supposedly at least one Ukrainian Unit has made it past the 3rd line of defense. But being the Ukrainians themselves are well silent on the matter it could just be soldiers/officers being paranoid and in a panic thinking the Ukrainians have breached the lines. As a number of people have pointed out. Literally all the footage of Ukrainian vehicles being destroyed seems to come from the exact same area. Meanwhile Ukrainian is attacking from several different areas. It's been confirmed, that Ukraine has penetrated at least 16-20kms of the Russian defenses. We have footage of Russian forces in retreat, tanks on fire while sprinting to safety, and trenches being abandoned. One footage shows 1 Russian tank, 1 BMPT and 1 BMP all getting destroyed within 1-2 minutes of each other trying to reinforce the Russian lines, and they were the only vehicles sent and not one of them came back. So.. again cherry picking one location on the front line doesn't mean Ukraine is doing poorly. If the rumors are true, it's far more than just 16-20km but those rumors haven't been confirmed.

@manserizawa2327 I think I'm going to have to resort to colors here. Okays footage we've seen of these destroyed vehicles is a single battalion lets say it's Green. However, we have multiple other battalions say red, blue and pink for laughs. Each one of these battalions is different, but they're all COLORS. Nods sarcastically Just because Green took high loses in vehicles doesn't mean, Red, Blue, and Pink did as well. Just because ONE COLOR had serious problems, doesn't mean all the other Colors (Ukraine Army) were just as badly bruise up. Next time, I will resort to using shapes, like triangles and squares. If that isn't good enough.

@Shadow66090 Again, THIS VERY LOCATION. This isn't the only location Ukraine is attacking..... I mean seriously. God can you imagine if everyone judged the battle of France from just one tank column.

@Shadow66090 1. The footage you're still talking about is 2 days old now. It's from day 1 of the option, it's now day what 3/4? 2. You're still talking about 1 location. 3. If you have more footage of similar devastated attacks, present them. 4. When it comes to breaching the Russian lines I didn't say the Ukrainians did, it's speculation/rumors. Maybe you should re-read my original comment. So who's the NPC?

@Manu10900 Sighs and that implies the Ukrainians are not attacking all across the front. Which they are attacking all across the southern front from several other locations. Just because, one POSITION holds, doesn't mean they all are. I mean seriously, how dense are you people?

@manserizawa2327 There are mine clearing vehicles among the leopards yes. There is a photo of a mine clearing plow abandoned on it's own, so it was detached from the vehicle. So supposedly they had 2 or more mine clearing vehicles. When combined with MBTs, I wouldn't call this a recon or probe, but an actual attack.

@manserizawa2327 Not really, it's no less sad then say Vuhledar, months of attacks by Russian forces with high vehicle loses, with almost zero gain. In fact some of the clips the past few days of Ukrainian forces are nearly identical to Vuhledar scenario for Russia. Trying to advance into a heavily mined and fortified area of the front line. That being said, Ukraine's Military claimed it has around 600 or was it 800? Whatever... MBT's ready for this operation. This doesn't included armored cars, like bush masters, or AFV like the BMP or Bradley. Being Ukraine really hasn't committed it's MBTs into hardly any battles throughout the whole war, that number is believable. I think the loses we've seen is around 6 or so MBTs lost and around 40 or more other vehicles. Based on videos/photos, majority of which seem to be wheeled vehicles. So I say the offensive is long from actually being over. Definitely being we have reports of Russian troops being deployed to counter attack breaches. This means Russian reserves are being committed, which is technically one of the goals of an offensive like this.

@manserizawa2327 It's still 3 days later from this event. Also I wouldn't call it a recon patrol, being it's using MBTs and mine clearing vehicles. I know at this particular location one mine clearing vehicle's plow broke, and another mine clearing vehicle was disabled, which is why this group faltered. You can not advance if your means of clearing the mines have been disabled.

@wadiknovgorodski1252 To be honest 100km isn't actually that far, if you're able to actually breach enemy defenses. The 7th Panzer Division in France supposedly advanced 200 miles in a single day back in 1941, as they well ran into little resistance once they got through the front, and 1 mile is 1.6 kms. So that's roughly 360kms in a single day. That being said, I'd say such a speedy advance is unrealistic in this scenario. But similar to the Kharkiv offensive it's plausible, counts if resistance holds up, and defenses decide to route or not.

@kishanchali8752 Again, I called it a 'Rumor' I got the information from a 2nd hand source, which is why I'm not calling it 'true' but a 'rumor' learn to read.

@wadiknovgorodski1252 I didn't forget. Read the whole thing.

@дмитрийворонков-ч3р I said it's a Rumor. Jesus why are people that thick?

@aaron5632018 Two Massive Withdraws, and One Massive Route later, I find that very hard to believe. The fact a dam was blown literally the day before Ukraine's counter offensive started heavily implies a lack a faith of their own defenses, or a fear of the unknown. That being said with the water levels lower, it's actually starting to look like Ukraine may be able to open whole new fronts in areas that have almost no fortifications whatsoever within the next few weeks. All because of the dam being destroyed, likely something someone didn't think through when it was decided. New satellite photos of the massive reservoir you can see the bottom of it through the water already. Soon it will be land, and shortly after as it's summer it can likely be crossed with vehicles.

sebastianbaez6424 Tell that to the Russian columns that have been attacked trying to reinforce those forward positions. If they're meant to slow down, why are the Russians bothered to reinforce them? Risking heavy armor at that. I watched a Column of 7 MBTs get shelled advancing to Robotyne this morning for example. That being said if Ukraine has drones watching south of Robotyne they must be close to the city. My favorite clip was a small column of 4 Russian vehicles which the moment they hit their own trench line the tank instantly started doing turret cart wheels and the 3 BMPs following it were destroyed within seconds afterwards. It happened too fast and accurately to be artillery, and it didn't look like ATGMs, they could of ran into their own mine field on accident but I don't think that would make a turret pop... so I'm personally under the impression they bumped into Ukrainian Armor. I was honestly a bit weird with the images of the 1st two days, but now that footage of Russian loses are coming out. I think the tally in 4 days were 48 tanks lost on the Russian side. Though that doesn't include today. Though I think today it was only like 4-5 Russian tanks confirmed knocked out including from the column I watched advanced to Robotyne. Supposedly there is a Russian counter attack active but information seems to be a few days behind so maybe it's why there was such a high tally by day 3 on Russian Armor. Again though, I don't get whey the Russians would counter attack trying to defend forward positions. Another dam was confirmed destroyed however.
