@wessexdruid7598 the question you should ask is this - what % did MPs get over the same period?
9
Trans people have had to put up with far more than they should, and I very much hope the hate stops
9
@pickledaardvark1532 So what you are saying, is the Tories have found something worse than slavery for the lowest paid?
9
@pauldavidson1281 the only way to do that is to make everyone a worker-owner
9
@jamjam2833 I am just trying to understand your logic. Even if the house is a bit colder than you'd like, wandering off alone into the snow is even worse
9
@PurushaDesa I want to work harder like Mogg! If I rock up at Westminster do you think security will let me in? I need to rest my head down and put my feet up on the benches in the Commons so I can do lots of hard work like Mogg does!
9
@thomashardy7961 to offshore tax havens 🙁
9
@Manic Miner Numbers are still lower than previous years when we had freedom of movement. The numbers are stark - it is taking far longer to handle less people
9
It's sad, tragic, and doesn't get less sad or tragic after you loot a Greggs and a Shoezone
9
I can only dream of headlines like "let's nationalise all the utilities now"
8
@Carl-hs420a so where are these fresh ideas for a different Brexit?
8
Absolutely correct!
8
Definitely responding on behalf of the nation there!
8
Wonder how hard Wes Streeting is panicking right now? He also has someone standing against him on a similar platform!
8
@chatham43 sure, you can vote as you will If you vote for the party of neglect and corruption though, don't act all shocked about corruption and neglect!
8
It's not envy, it's that we're not idiots. Why should we listen to someone telling us to do one thing, while they do the opposite?
8
You also voted for MEPs, who voted for those laws
8
@coreydolan3239 there's plenty in history we should be both offended by and learn from!
8
@deanrogers8381 punching down then? Figures
8
@andyhawkins9541 How does that help? The checks are the same. If you do them in France there's a queue to get off the boat If you're slow getting off the boat, there's a delay getting the boat back to Dover If the boat is late getting to Dover, you get a queue in Dover. Same problem, maybe even worse
8
@left_best yeah, but he's not a multifaceted liar like Johnson. Rishi has to stick to his narrow specialism
8
If you're really rich, most of your income isn't wages, but capital gains. They cap out at 20%/28%, depending on the type of capital gain
8
@trytellingthetruth.2068 that's about 4% Inflation has been between 8% and 11% - so the NHS can buy less this year than it could last year It's budget has been cut
8
Why are you so bothered about officers working to keep Pride safe, showing that they are on the public's side and want them to be safe?
8
@Robbie how is sacking someone for stepping out of line the same as trying to cover for someone who stepped out of line? I'd also love to know how you equivocate that "standing on a picket line" is at all on the same scale as "millions of pounds worth of tax dodging"
8
@Robert Wallace I am gonna call it now. I have absolute confidence that Starmer will sack any Labour cabinet member found to have dodged millions of pounds worth of tax
8
Let's find some economists who called it that Trussonomics was terrible before it happened. We should trust their opinion on this budget, not the Tory cheerleaders!
8
@Lynnefromlyn by all means, lets avoid extreme examples and pick a real one. Who has lost their job for having opinions?
8
@Lynnefromlyn this isn't China, we generally don't make people turn up to events they don't want to attend...
8
@scarfhs1 rail and water are always going to be monopolies. We need democratic accountability for them, as there is no market to apply market pressure on them!
8
Apologies, but I can't see the disrespect here. Elizabeth II gave Harry that house, and Elizabeth II is the late queen. It's simple, honest truth
8
@howardchambers9679 Thatcher did say Blair was her greatest creation!
8
@evolassunglasses4673 Tell me more - what's the roadmap to replace goods and services we get from the global market with domestic replacements?
8
@Myrtle43 Israeli spokespeople do tend to be a bit arrogant and aggressive. It's something I have noticed!
8
And if there is a genuine immigration crisis, the crisis is we can't attract enough!
8
@bobsmithy9024 they were on a totally different bridge 🙄 They could not be more out of the way while still able to film what was going on!
8
@royboy565 If I could play around with what you're thinking, I'd say a fool votes for what's best for their boss...
8
@EmpiricalMind Who is 'they'? We had MEPs too Moreso, we had very effective MEPs - we got around 98% of what we wanted. If those MEPs were getting us the wrong things with that 98% success, we needed to vote for different MEPs rather than leave
8
@Try telling the truth. if someone likes Marmite, I disagree, but respect their preferences differ to mine If you think black people are second class citizens, then there's no room for tolerance
8
@famalam943 so what you're saying is it's all OK if the Daily Mail says it's OK, but it's bad if the Daily Mail says it's bad?
8
Indeed. Prayer of all faiths better be treated the same way, otherwise this is deeply suspicious
8
@jeffsimon9594 not a bad shout, that!
8
A few days ago, done already
8
Not sure if I'm ready for compassion for the conmen, even if they found running a massive con to be hard in their mental health Maybe try not running a massive con then? 🤔
8
Both Labour and the LibDems are proposing closer alignment and rebuilding relations if they are government, but it's going to take more than one term of Parliament, no matter who is governing. We need to prepare long term plans if rejoin is going to happen
7
I'd agree with boring, perhaps over-cautious. I'm no great Starmer fan Trying to pretend he's an idiot is utterly daft though!
7
Tories are bad for everyone but their Eton chums 🙁
7
@michaelathanasiou2030 you mean the EU doesn't think sewage in rivers and on beaches should be acceptable? I am with the EU on this one
7
@stormyweathers9887 nurses are definitely more productive than hedge fund managers, but our tax system seems to have it the other way around 🤔
7
@bugcatcherwade9048 if you want to be successful, you need to think big - if you don't, your choice is which big player to follow along behind The EU is the only big player formed by democracy and cooperation rather than military conquest. That's something pretty special! I would rather be part of the democratic superpower than be small and isolated
