  4.  @chrisj9700  deficit spending isn't a bad thing if done wisely As a houshold example, if your car was old, unreliable and putting you at risk of losing your job because you're regularly late for work, would you buy a reliable car on credit? Investing in future income makes sense. Austerity is when you lose your job rather than buy a car on credit that reliably gets you to work
