@JeffVader Still worth doing though, warmer houses for less money and less Putin gas is a win no matter what a handful of activists do!

Insulate Britain is the answer. We use less power every winter, which opposes Putins agenda and opposes climate change AND as a bonus those protesters have no cause to glue themselves to roads any more! Everyone wins 😁

Certainly not a Tory politician, anyway!

Answer - Nick's brain, it's infinitely dense

@ptv8113 um, yeah we can. Every step we take to reduce fossil fuel usage also reduces our dependence on Putin's oil and gas. Two birds with the same stone!
1
@ptv8113 we can't cut it completely right now, but we can reduce the usage right now Every bit we do adds up and helps!

@ptv8113 so, do you want to lose your arms or your legs?
1
@ptv8113 black and white answer, get off the fence! Arms or legs?
1
@ptv8113 Now, I think that's a fair answer, but Nick doesn't let you have both in your answer! You have to pick one, and lose the other. That's his rules, not mine

@ptv8113 I agree we mostly agree! We will never know what the caller was going to say though, as Nick was too obsessed playing silly interviewer games to listen to the answer ☹

@ptv8113 If I may, can I ask what you think Nick was hoping to achieve with that question? If the caller had stated one or the other as 'more important', what value would that add to the discussion?
1
@ptv8113 this is where I'm going to say agree to disagree, as it didn't feel like a useful starting point. If both are important, you don't need to be so obsessed with which one is most important, just move on to how we can address both with the same action, and discuss the tradeoffs where you can't fix one without compromising on the other. Dumping the whole interview over such a minor, subjective difference is petty... Unless there was an agenda here. I can't shake the feeling that Nick was trying to pull a childish gotcha here "Climate change is more important" - so you don't care about people in Ukraine dying? "The war in Ukraine is more important" - so you're not serious about this climate change business after all? It smelled like a setup, so I don't blame the guy for not wanting to walk into it. I think that's why Nick hung up - his silly game wasn't going to plan This
