@Lmwpitt Brexit is a temporary insanity which we have to endure until.we can Rejoin. The only other long term plan is, like John said, to adapt to being poorer and somewhat cut off from the world I like the Rejoin plan best 🙂

Not promising an immediate Rejoin is realistic. Maintaining the hardline Brexiteer rhetoric is a choice, and not a reassuring one

@johnrussell3961 you can do it with borrowing if it will generate a return on investment - like a state-owned power generation company, as an example 😉

@YellowfinGrouper but do vote. Ideally vote tactically for whoever can unseat the Tories, but vote for someone - if you don't the people writing manifestos will assume they can ignore you, because you're not a voter

@johnrussell3961 yep. Well paid jobs need well paid customers to maintain that cycle The only place that currently exists on any scale is the EU, hoping for better wages outside the EU is deeply unrealistic

@alanhat5252 and as an older example, Attlee did Keynesian investment while managing the debt from WW2. It can be done with the right vision and the right implementation!

Not true. Labour are a centre right party with a few socialists in the membership. The Tories are a centre right party with more than a few fascists in the membership Pick your flavour of radical agitator working behind the scenes!
