@terryj50 but we always had control. Freedom of Movement gives you the right to live where you want, but not an entitlement to support If we wanted to deport EU citizens who couldn't support themselves, we could. Our government didn't, but that's a Westminster issue, not a Brussels one!

@terryj50 that is a frustrating situation, I know a few people who have had do deal with UK immigration for foreign born partners, it's a horrendous beurocratic mess Leaving the EU hasn't fixed that though, it's still as horrendous as ever, if not worse than ever!

In the end, that was his point though! We left the EU to stop the long-dead Thatcher making decisions in Westminster 🤦‍♂️
