@robertwilliams2323 sounds like you are still stuck at denial

@WayT101 growing nicely, thanks for asking 🙂

@John Russell Their payback is awfully decent really - coming here and being key workers, and paying taxes. Rather different to what the UK did the other way around!

You also voted for MEPs, who voted for those laws

@robertwilliams2323 I also imagine a lot more emails have been sent in the last thirty years than in the previous two thousand!

@TvonToby3254 If we're talking public services, trashing public services is absolutely a Tory thing

Has isolationist nationalism ever worked out for the best?

@Jon o you've lost me I'm afraid. I worry that all this obsessing over foreigners is a distraction to deflect from the real problems. What's going on in Sweden, Italy and Ireland?

We're a nation of explorers, traders and diplomats. Our language is mashed together from two different root languages, and then shared with the entire world. Our national dish changes every decade or two as we discover something new and exciting, but our national drink is undeniably Asian What culture is it that we're losing here?

@J j on Ireland, wrong way around. Ireland said they didn't like the terms, better terms were agreed, so the vote passed for the improved deal. The vote changed because they had changed what they were voting for

@J j you can go read both versions if you like, although it's dense, dull treaty words It's an interesting insight into social change, just how much they cared about abortion then compared to now. I doubt the modern RoI would risk it's place in the EU over abortion controls!

@Juliana Krapnika I know Italy better than Sweden, and Italy looks like the latest in a long line of politicians who made big promises to get elected, but has no idea how to keep those promises now they've won It's not the first time, and I doubt it's the last!

@Juliana Krapnika I am ready to give Labour a chance, especially as they are being a lot more grounded, and not promising the moon on a stick!

@julieanncurnow971 they are offering to start fixing things, but not promising to be world beating by next Tuesday. After some of the overhyped promises of recent times, I'm ready for getting some basics straightened out 🙂
