@EmpiricalMind That's very unfair. The EU respected every request Boris and Frost made! We could have stayed in the Single Market, but Boris and Frosty said no. The EU respected their request. What's unfair about that?

@EmpiricalMind Who is 'they'? We had MEPs too Moreso, we had very effective MEPs - we got around 98% of what we wanted. If those MEPs were getting us the wrong things with that 98% success, we needed to vote for different MEPs rather than leave

How about we follow Nigel Farage's wisdom instead? a '52-48 result would be unfinished business' There's not much we agree on, but he nailed it with that one!

a '52-48 result would be unfinished business' Nigel Farage Just reminding everyone of those very relevant words!

@dominicbritt exactly as you said. Anything beyond the next election may as well be the next millennium as far as Westmister politics is concerned. If it distracts from winning the next election it's off the table

@danielbanbury378 I offer a different path - vote tactically to unseat the Tories, and join in with groups like Make Votes Matter to push for PR. If the Tories keep winning other parties will never have a chance

No, but they are still very loyal to the path Thatcher and Reagan set us on. Brexit was a choice to be more like the US, or stay part of Europe We are indeed more like the US now
2
What's done is done though, we all have to Bury the hatchet and look to the future. What can we do, now we are here?

@britnatzaredemocracydenier5922 If you wanted to talk policies, talk policies. You made this about "of the people" ness
1
@britnatzaredemocracydenier5922 He's not the Tories, in places where there's no SNP Sometimes, you have to take the small win if no big win is on the table
1
@trident6547 We can't rejoin it any time soon, but we absolutely could have stayed in. It was an offer on the table during the negotiations

@vicious12394 I disagree. There are a lot of pragmatic Brexit voters out there (the ones who rarely troll YouTube comment threads 😉 ) who know Brexit isn't going well, but aren't ready to believe it's unsalvageable. Given that there's no Rejoin possible in the next parliament regardless of who is Prime Minister, a pragmatic soften-Brexit manifesto makes a lot of sense!
1
@tariqjoseph3562 We should definitely start the process, but the EU will determine when we qualify. We need some short term solutions in the meanwhile!
1
@djpeekay25 I would be more than happy with either of those options
1
@djpeekay25 Is there any precedent for coalition governments causing concerns? Many other countries routinely have coalition government and I am not aware of that being an issue
1
@djpeekay25 if you list the concerns about Italy's economy "coalition government" wouldn't be top of the list, and only makes the list at all because it was spectacularly unstable. Labour and the LibDems are making the right noises for a sane and functional coalition, so that won't be an issue here
1
@djpeekay25 Maybe? He's not perfect, but who is. The Tory Party don't like him, so clearly he's doing something right!
