People who had big property portfolios before have massive property portfolios now Meanwhile, people who just want somewhere to live are stuck with the choice of cripplingly expensive rents, or a cripplingly expensive mortgage Too much of the 'economy' is house prices going up, we need more making things, growing things and doing things instead

@ccutehoney if we have a government that looks capable of rebuilding, we will find loans. As long as debts will be paid you can always find someone willing to lend! Not pretending it will be quick or easy, but with stable and serious people, with a proper plan, we can create a new future for us all!

@ccutehoney it's only bleak if you've bought into the "world-beating" hype and nonsense. If you only see "world beating" or "failure"... well, world beating isn't happening... However, if success is what you want, a place that's pleasant to live in with hope and opportunities, that's very possible. We just need leaders who focus on the basics rather than chasing crazy quick fix gambles If we get that government, and all do our bit then bridges can be rebuilt and the country can find a better path forward

We don't need "big beasts" and theatre. We need a team who care about the country, and either have the expertise to solve problems, or will reach out to find the experts they need This endless Tory playground squabbling about who gets the best seat is an embarrassment

@alexandermason3421 the Tory press never talk about Labour's policies. If you want to know what Labour are doing you have to look outside the Tory press Sadly, so much of our news is loyal to the Tories 🙁
