@Daniel Oliver maybe I forget something, it's a long time ago, but I don't remember Brown coming up with a set of pledges mid-term that competely re-wrote the election promises

@cupguin Oh definitely, Starmer is better than what we have now! But he's a small step. I won't relax and say "job done" if he is leading the government. There are still so many problems he's turning a blind eye to

@cupguin some variant of 'full UKIP' seems likely. The factions are forming, and both the major ones are ideologues - Truss has a group determined to try their low-tax deregulation madness again , while the the other is going for flag-waving authoritarian nostalgia I hope they wreck each other!

@aland155 his platform has changed significantly from the election manifesto, and the general public has not had a chance to vote on the changed platform for his party They have voted in the local elections though, and while you can't assume local results will map to national results, they don't support the argument that people support Sunak!
