The explaination that makes most sense to me isn't conspiracy, but distraction. Netanyahu and his inner circle were using the army in the west bank because they thought it would secure their political careers Because they were using the IDF for their little scheme, they got complacent about the warnings about a possible attack from Gaza Still corrupt, in that they were using the army for their personal priorities rather than protecting their citizens, but not a conspiracy with Hamas
