@Yelluz so, you assume I am upset because I "picked the wrong side", rather than being upset because prices are rising, supply chains are patchy and my options in the shops are getting more limited by the day?

@nkt1 Maybe we'll come out of this with a better understanding of how modern geopolitics and economics work (or at least an appreciation that despite their Eton educations, the Tories don't have a clue how they work) It might end up being an expensive lesson, but it's better than nothing!

If you've ever been snobby about people voting leave, you've made it harder for people to publicly change their minds If we want to see more people like Steve, we need to appreciate their bravery and not indulge in petty smugness. I know I've been guilty!

@englanduk6131 I could hardly miss it! I remember the panic buying, but once that settled down there were no more problems Then the transition period ended, and with every new customs check added things get that little bit worse. I hope things get better, I will keep an eye on things

@Yelluz so you can understand why some of us are getting concerned about how Brexit is being implemented?
2
@Yelluz why do we have to just accept the way things are? Countries like Sweden have much less of a divide between rich and poor. Why can't we copy what they are doing?

We can't turn back time, but we can correct the course going forward. When we next elect a government, are we going to let the current crew double down on their current path, or do we change direction?

@ROMANSv1212 you have just touched on one of the greatest mysteries of grassroots politics! Which protests changed the world, and which ones made no difference? Which letters impact government policy, and which ones go straight to the bin? If I knew how to tell the difference I'd be out there doing it! I'll admit it can feel like there's nothing one person can do, but everything has to start somewhere. I'm still just getting curious myself, and seeing who is out there and what different groups are doing I think curiosity has worked well as a first step!

@cal7168 Services often require a common legal framework and standards, and we just broke alignment with our nearest market Many services are going to relocate their offices to the EU, because that's where the customers are

@me38443 Off the top of my head, the one I know that moved here is Shell, and that was a small head office with a few admin staff, nominated as head office for tax dodging purposes I'd be happy to look into other ones, if you know of them

@me38443 Any idea of the numbers? Is it enough to balance all the capital and personnel moving the other way?

@me38443 100k would be great, but sounds a bit unrealistic. A major bank has about 5k employees. Are we really seeing 20 major banks setting up?
