and "more powerful" is marketing spin. Designs have improved a lot since then, so often you're not getting better cleaning with the high power model, you're just racking up a bigger electricity bill!

No, you "won", you get over it!

@jonathansimmons5353 There's a question here though - where are they headed? Organisations like ASEAN, RCEP and CPTPP all have greater economic integration in mind, and a single currency has been suggested (although a long way from being implemented) The direction of Asia is towards an EU-like structure. They just aren't as far along yet

Don't hate them, pity them! It winds them up more 😁

@raymondbullock4557 and yet, despite this claim that they could have found better deal if they had more time, they refused the offered deadline extension Methinks they didn't have a better idea, else they would have taken the extension and negotiated this better deal!

@raymondbullock4557 Then Frost is really thick. Nothing had been signed, so no commitment made by May and her team was final. If they knew they wanted a different direction, the time to say so is before they signed everything off as binding commitments!

@raymondbullock4557 I don't remember the EU changing Barniers mandate. AFAIK their red lines were the same when Frost stepped in as when it all began

Apparently this Brexit isn't hard enough for some, and going full North Korea is the magic solution So yeah, "lost their minds" sums it up!

@Afghan31 The EU is definitely accountable to parliament. That's why I voted for which party I wanted for my MEP

@Afghan31 Not personally, but I can if I need to!

@Afghan31 No, she appears in the EU parliament, for parliamentary questions to the committee. It's a regular thing, you can watch videos of it, or even follow it live! It's not super thrilling, but serious matters rarely are
1
@Afghan31 Can I make sure I understand the question here, by asking a question. Is Boris Johnson accountable to Birmingham City Council?
1
@Afghan31 yes, because it's the legislature, not the executive. The executive is appointed by the member governments. If you didn't like our representative in the EU executive, blame the UK government that we elected!
