  1. One thing to note is how much warning Iran gave. If they intended maximum damage, they would have launched with as much secrecy as possible In as much as anything involving hundreds of leathal projectiles can be, this was a diplomatic statement. They wanted to get attention, but they left a door open for de-escalation If Iran wanted open war this would have been done in a very different manner
